TRIANGL review: Milly in Santa Rosa Splash (dupe)

Oh, the Milly.. It is now one of my favorite Triangl tops.

As always, here is a friendly reminder that I am reviewing exclusively the top.

Also, I must disclose that this is unfortunately a dupe. I've learned only fairly recently how to determine authenticity, but by that time I had purchased dupes of both the Winnie and Milly. Therefore it is up to you to decide whether or not this review applies to an actual Triangl bikini; however, I have heard that some dupes are almost exactly like the real thing, and this one definitely had me fooled for quite a while.

This raw edge is how I figured out it was a dupe and that I had been lied to when told it was authentic. The rest of the top is literally spot on.

My second Triangl top was the Milly in size XS and also from Poshmark. First off, the issue of beamers, a problem I had with the Winnie top, is nonexistent with this top. The Milly has thick, molded bra cups that are quite supportive.

I love the color; it's really quite pleasing to look at. It's a tad bright, but not bright enough to make you squint and look away. It's just a nice shade of beachy blue.

This is THE top that I’d recommend for women with smaller chests, as it has a way of enhancing what you’ve got up there without being a push-up. I love this as I find push-ups to be a bit unnatural. Of course, this may just be me being bitter and/or salty as I’ve never actually found a push-up bra that fit me correctly; I’ve always had a bit of a gapping issue. :(

However, through my Internet searches, I’ve found that women with larger chests like the support but some don’t like the shape it gives their boobs. I believe the exact term was.. frumpy? I suppose it really depends on each person though, as no two sets of boobs are alike.

If you enjoy sunbathing, you can always tuck the straps in to avoid getting a strap tan. No funky tan lines, yay! As for swimming and water activities, I don’t think you’d run the risk of this top coming off in the least. The straps ensure that the top won’t fall down, and with the snap-on clasp in the back, once it’s secured it’s SECURE. It won’t come loose unless you choose to snap it back open.

The Milly top was what began my unquenchable desire to purchase another Triangl top. A running joke with my friends is that they’ll ask, “So.. Have you put your bikinis to use yet?” They know I can’t swim and get tan a bit too easily (I’ve gotten a school binder tan once, but that’s a story for another day), two characteristics that hinder me from jumping into a pool or running around at the beach. Sigh. Someday, I tell them, someday..
