About Me
Hello & welcome!
This blog is a space for me to share my love for affordable, cruelty-free beauty products.
As a makeup and skincare-loving junkie, and a broke college student, I'm constantly seeking out the best, affordable products that work for me without compromising my ethics. I firmly believe that, at least for cosmetics, animal testing is unnecessary. However, I feel that leading by example and showing that you don't have to settle for less with cruelty-free products is the best way to spread the message.
This blog is also a space for me to explore my Asian-American heritage and its implications for how I approach the beauty world-- specifically, a way for me to reach acceptance of all of my unique features and to find makeup that enhances, rather than disguises, them.
At the end of the day I'm simply seeking to learn to love what I was born with and to find affordable, cruelty-free products that lead me to love them even more.
There will also be the occasional post about fashion and music as those are my other loves. <3
Here are some tidbits about me:
I am an introvert.
I'm currently a student at UCLA.
My birthday isn't my actual birth day.
The only candy I like is gummy bears. Otherwise, I looove chocolate.
My favorite activity is Netflixing late into the night with a pint of ice cream by my side.
I'm currently a pescatarian.
I have really thick, long lashes and eyebrow hair. This is both a blessing and a curse-- I have some not-so-fond memories of being teased for my bushy unibrow but now receive compliments for my thick, tamed brows (yes, I've separated my unibrow so that there are now brows, plural).
My fashion aesthetic revolves heavily around minimalist, neutral basics. My makeup aesthetic is arguably somewhere along these lines as well.
Thanks for visiting! :)
